The Ocean Conservancy promotes healthy and diverse ocean ecosystems through research, education, and science-based advocacy. They established the RECON program in 2001 and passed it on to SEA Inc. in April 2006.  TOC remains committed to the RECON program.

REEF (Reef Environmental Education Foundation) is “an active organization of divers committed to the preservation of the marine environment.  The REEF fish identification protocol is often used in concert with RECON as a reef assessment tool.

MRDF has created innovative and stimulating educational programs and research projects that enrich our appreciation of the marine environment and advance our ability to work more productively in harmony with the world around us.  MRDF partners with us on Seagrass Restoration and various education programs.

Research Vessel Tiburon Inc. is designed to support research in ocean studies, exploration, film and video production and other ocean expeditions.   The RV Tiburon provides a research and training platform with on board accommodations for up to 14 for programs in the Keys, Dry Tortugas and the Bahamas.
